Hi, i have been working on this for quite some time now...trying to figure out how fire n smoke will interact when fuel is involved..i got this reference from you-tube..which kinda gave me a head start...
its good to always have a references..it gives you an idea as to what you have to do next to achieve the real look....here is a composition of the fire n smoke i made in Maya using fluids...well i knw that's not oil...but it'll behave exactly like that..

this is the play blast when i came really close to nailing the project...but i noticed that the fire in the reference had different textures now and then...so I gave the emitter, which was an object, 2d fractal texture and animated it with time using expressions..once the textures were animated the result looked a lot better.
